Community

We show up in the city we hire from.

Relief that reached 200 households in two B'laan communities, blood drives with the Philippine Red Cross, a run, and job fairs across General Santos. All of it done by the people on our own floor, on our own time.

The anniversary budget went to relief instead.

Seighton turned three in June 2026. The money set aside for the company party was redirected into an earthquake relief drive, and the team ran the distribution themselves.

The drive reached 200 households across Purok Aspang and Balnabo in Barangay San Jose, two B'laan indigenous communities that are difficult to reach and, for that reason, tend to be reached last.

It was run with the Indigenous Peoples Professionals and Workers Association of General Santos City, who knew the ground, knew which households had actually been missed, and made the distribution possible in a way an outside company could not have managed alone.

Why say it plainly rather than dress it up. Two hundred households is a real number and a small one against the scale of what happened. It is what a company of this size could actually do that month, and inflating it would be worth less than doing it.

Blood drives and the Run for Humanity.

The team turns out for the mobile blood donation drives and for the Red Cross Run for Humanity. Both are ordinary, recurring and unremarkable, which is rather the point of them.

Job fairs

A booth, and people standing behind it.

We take booths at fairs run by the City Mayor's Office Youth Affairs and Development Office and by local colleges, including at Holy Trinity College and at Veranza.

Posting a job online costs nothing and reaches more people. Sending staff to stand at a booth for a day costs a day of their time and reaches fewer. We keep doing the second one anyway, because a company that will not send anyone to face applicants in person is telling you something.

It is also where a fair share of the floor first heard of us, which is the practical reason it stays in the calendar.

Hiring is the community work. The relief and the blood drives are separate from recruitment, and we would rather not blur them. But creating the jobs themselves, in this city, for people who were being told to leave it, is not a side project. It is the company.

The largest to date was Sama-sama para sa San Jose, an earthquake relief drive that reached 200 households across two hard-to-reach B'laan communities. Alongside that: Philippine Red Cross blood donation drives, the Run for Humanity, and booths at job fairs run by the City Mayor's Office Youth Affairs and Development Office and by local colleges.

The company turned three in June 2026 and the budget for the party went to the San Jose relief drive instead. An anniversary is a thing a company does for itself. Given a choice that year, a relief run into two communities that were hard to reach was worth more than a party.

Purok Aspang and Balnabo in Barangay San Jose, two B'laan indigenous communities, in partnership with the Indigenous Peoples Professionals and Workers Association of General Santos City, who know the ground and made the distribution possible.

Partly and openly. Creating work in General Santos rather than exporting the workforce is the company's own reason for existing, so job fairs and hiring in this city are part of the same thing rather than a separate charity budget. The relief and blood drives are not recruitment.
