Daniel S. Saavedra III graduated with honors in Secondary Education and taught physical science for two years, at Quantum Academy in General Santos and at DOLE Philippines School in Polomolok. He left teaching for a recruitment role at a BPO in Manila, took a diploma course in the industry, and moved into digital marketing from there.

Seighton began in 2023, run out of a room at home in General Santos with very little capital. Two clients came first, and they were enough to justify a second person, then a third. The company has grown from that one desk to a floor of more than 70, and it never moved out of the city it started in.

That last part is the point of the whole thing. A large share of the people on the floor are fresh graduates, career shifters, breadwinners and first-time jobseekers who had been told that the work was in Manila or Cebu or abroad. It is not, or at least it does not have to be.

The reason it matters is simple. Internal training makes someone useful to us. A registered program makes them qualified anywhere. We would rather people leave here more employable than they arrived, even in the cases where they leave.

It also settles a fair question that applicants ask: whether a company that hires people with no BPO background is actually going to teach them anything, or just put them on a queue and see who survives. Training happens first, on the clock, run by people who work the same accounts.
